Sacred Places

North United Methodist Church is a historically significant urban church with a thriving, involved congregation. North Church is a beautiful space for inspired music and worship. It’s also a place to put faith in action. Led by Jesus’s example of radical hospitality, for almost 100 years North Church has opened hearts and minds as well as its doors. Long-term stewardship of the building is a vital part of its ministry and community outreach.

North Church Sacred Places Challenge

  • The capital improvement matching grant covered half the cost of phase 1 ($500,000 in repairs to historically significant areas, including the sanctuary).
  • The planning grant supported a building assessment and led to long-term building improvement priorities (phase 1 and beyond).
