What do you do at North?
I oversee the mission and outreach operations, which includes the Justice and Advocacy Team and the Green Team. I am to promote social justice and demonstrate care for our global environment and ministries throughout the world. I also strive to strengthen connections within our neighborhood. God has called me to do ministry with the poor, the broken and the oppressed, and demonstrate how North UMC exhibits love for all.
When did you begin working at North?
July 1, 2019.
What is your favorite food?
My mom’s made-from-scratch chicken and dumplings.
What is your favorite TV show?
I love “Big Bang Theory,” but I also binge watch the Investigative Discovery channel.
What is your favorite book?
I love the “In Death” series by J.D. Robb.
What was your first job?
I delivered the Indianapolis newspapers when I was 12 years old.
Who inspires you?
Strong women of the Bible and all the women of my family.
What makes you laugh?
My son’s wacky sense of humor.
What is your favorite thing to do in Indianapolis?
Watch movies with my son at the IMAX or in 3-D, especially horror/thriller movies.
What is your favorite Bible verse or passage?
Romans 8:28, 38-39
