North Church is a perfect place to hold your wedding. Whether you are a longtime church member or were drawn in by the beauty of our Sanctuary, our community wants to support you as you plan your wedding and begin a new phase in your life. North views weddings as a worship service to celebrate God’s gift of love and to affirm a covenant between two people and God.
As you plan your upcoming nuptials, we recognize that there are many important decisions to make regarding your wedding. Our pastors and staff will assist you along the way to make sure your wedding details are complete and customized to fit the uniqueness of your marriage.
To help you secure the facility and begin planning your wedding, we will help guide you through the following:
Scheduling your event
We recommend that you book the church as early as possible. Member and non-member weddings may be booked up to 18 months in advance.
Once your date has been approved by the Wedding Facilitator, the wedding contract and non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the space. Fees cover the cost of Sanctuary or Chapel, Parlor and two dressing rooms, security guard, organist, custodial services, staff pastor, counselor, and wedding facilitator. Planning and preparing for the ceremony
Personal meetings will be scheduled with the pastoral staff to plan your service. North Church has a beautiful sanctuary organ and provides our organist to play for your ceremony. You will be in contact with the organist directly to plan and coordinate your musical selections. Our wedding facilitator will work with you to help ensure that all of your ceremony plans and needs are met, especially those easily forgotten details that are an important part of your ceremony.
Couples are required to participate in pre-marital counseling with the church’s designated counselor, which usually entails three to four sessions.
