We invite you to offer a prayer request by filling out a green prayer request card located in the Sanctuary pews and placing in the offertory plate on Sunday or leaving your request at the front desk during the week. You may also submit your prayer request by completing the online request form. Prayer requests will be shared at morning prayers and published weekly in the prayer booklet available in the Welcome Center. Prayer requests can be marked confidential if you wish the requests to be shared with pastors only.
Monthly Prayer Calendar
North publishes a monthly prayer calendar which lists each church member during the course of the year. To support one another in prayer, download the monthly prayer calendar for October at the previous link, and for November here.
Anyone from our congregation or community is welcome to join Morning Prayers led by our pastoral staff Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Chapel. In this informal service, we pray our joys and concerns for others and for ourselves.
Contemplative Prayer is practiced on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel. We offer this opportunity to learn to listen for the voice of God in the silent places of our lives. No advance preparation or training is required.
Taizé worship is offered on the fourth Sunday of the month at 5 p.m. in the Chapel. The international Taizé community is an ecumenical tradition with a strong devotion to peace and justice. Taizé has spawned a unique style of worship that has become popular in churches, retreat centers, and schools. Prayer and silence are at the heart of the Taizé experience; there is no sermon. Taizé music highlights simple phrases, usually from the Psalms or other pieces of scripture which are repeated or sung in canon. The repetition is designed to help meditation and prayer during candlelit services.
