North Church offers a variety of Sunday classes and groups to help better meet the needs of our diverse fellowship. Anyone is welcome to join a class at any time. If you are wondering which class or group may work best for you, contact us.
Affirming Group – Sundays, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., Room 207
The Affirming Group is a place where all are welcome regardless of sexual orientation (LGBTQ/Straight); we claim the promise that nothing can separate any of us from God’s love. This group exists as an open and supportive exchange of life and church experiences with a variety of studies on social and Biblical topics.
Power and Light – Sundays, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., Room 205
This group is a welcoming, diverse group of individuals united in fellowship, social service, and personal support in the mutual pursuit of spiritual growth.
Sojourners – Sundays, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., Room 005
This is a year-round adult group for people of all ages that engages in a variety of studies ranging from traditional Bible studies to exploring contemporary works in relationship to the church. Members serve together in projects selected at the beginning of the year, including serving North’s Friendship Time after the 11:00 a.m. worship in February and August.
Usual Suspects – Sundays, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., Room 202
Have a younger child? This group of parents blends general discussions of raising children and building families with time to talk freely about specific challenges and joys. From prayer to potty training to play dates, we cover it all. We seek to find God’s direction to grow as individuals, spouses/partners, and parents as well as create friendships between those sharing this journey. Come as you are and when you can, we know life can be unexpected and we welcome you. Participants share in facilitating the class and sharing stories and support.
