Contact us to learn more about the following volunteer opportunities:
Sunday School Teacher: Help make faith come alive for the youth by leading discussions and activities twice a month for one hour on Sunday morning; substitutes are also needed. Curriculum and supplies are provided. Feel free to recruit a friend to join you.
Youth Group Leader: If you like to engage youth in conversation, play crazy games, or hear their thoughts on life and faith, this position assists with meals, programs, and worship. Everything will be planned ahead of time, but we need your presence to make it happen once a month or more for 3 hours on a Sunday night.
Youth Group Meal Coordinator: Help keep the youth fed by coordinating with parents each week to provide a meal that will be served on Sunday night for youth group; coordination will take less than an hour a week for a semester.
Retreat/Event volunteers: Lead a small group, run a bouncy house, go to an Indians game. It’s hard to describe this position because it can involve so many different aspects of youth ministry. Retreat leaders are needed to chaperone and help lead retreats throughout the year. Other events such as lock-ins, ski trips, and events at the church will need your help too if you can volunteer for a one evening event or a weekend retreat.
Service/Mission Project leaders: Serve as a chaperone or adult leader for week-long mission trips, one-time service projects or service-learning trips, which will require a few hours to a week of service.
Confirmation Teachers: Serve as a weekly confirmation class leader or mentor for a confirmation student. The class runs weekly from September to February.
Special Presenters: Are you an artist? Are you known for your wonderful cookies or bread? Do you have a special skill that you’d like to share or teach to the youth? We are always looking for one-time volunteers to come in and present for an evening at youth group. If you have a gift to offer, but not much time, this is the spot for you.
