There are many volunteer opportunities available for parents and other adults who have a heart to work in ministry with children. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Amy Sell.
Sunday Morning Opportunities
Sunday School Substitute: Most of our teachers cover 40 weeks of Sunday School during the school year, but occasionally we need a quick fill-in. Subs will help with classroom activities.
Alternative Worship Substitute: On non-communion Sundays, Alternative Worship meets during the 11:00 worship service. We have a great team of teachers, but it is helpful to have subs on call! Substitutes will help with activities.
Children’s Choir Help: Attend rehearsals immediately following the 11:00 a.m. worship service until 1:00 p.m.
Odd Balls: Can you be on call to help with odd ball needs (like working a table in the West Entry, jumping in to help a large class with a project, or taking attendance) on Sunday mornings in ministry with children? If so, this is a great place to serve.
Special Events for Children & Families
Advent Festival Workshop Leader: Workshops change from year to year, but we are always looking for leaders who love teaching kids through hands-on activities like art, science, active storytelling, music, and more. Advent Festival is held annually on the first Sunday of December.
Easter Retreat Workshop Leader: Workshops change from year to year, but we are always looking for leaders who love teaching kids through hands-on activities like art, science, active storytelling, music, and more! The Easter Retreat is held annually on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) Team: Help lead the way for four nights of VBS fun. Each team member will coordinate volunteers, gather supplies, and oversee an area of VBS: Registration, gathering, games, crafts, food, storytelling, or missions. VBS is held annually in the last week in June.
